John Mayer, the ex-boyfriend of actress Jessica Simpson, is a talented singer/songwriter in the genres of blues rock and pop rock.

The singer formed the John Mayer Trio with members Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino in 2005 to play what he called, "power-rockin', electric-guitar, in-your-face blues" and the band will be performing its 1st Annual Holiday Charity Revue at the Nokia Theatre in December.
