The Avett Brothers are bringing their unique blend of country, bluegrass, punk, pop melodies, folk and rock and roll tunes to the El Rey Theatre at the end of March.

The band hails from North Carolina and is made up of brothers, Seth Avett (guitar) and Scott Avett (banjo) and Bob Crawford (bass). The trio released their most recent album, Emotionalism, in May 2007 to raving reviews from fans and critics alike.

The Kinks lead singer/songwriter Ray Davies is coming to Los Angeles for one show only in late March.

Widely regarded as one of the most influential songwriters in the UK in the 20th centry, Davies has embarked on a successful solo career since the demise of the band with one of the biggest highlights of his career coming in 2004 when he received the CBE from Queen Elizabeth II for his services to music. His most recent album, Working Man's Café, was released in 2007.

The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles takes you through the journey of one of mankind's greatest achievements, the Automobile, with over 100 years worth of automotive history at the museum.

In an exclusive exhibition, the 'LA Vida Lowrider: Cruising The City Of Angels' at the Petersen celebrates lowrider cars, people, and culture, and the city that inspires so many, both nationally and internationally.

The word 'lowrider' is used to describe a car that is customized primarily to be low to the ground, usually containing a hydraulic setup for adjusting ride height, with a fantastic candy paint job, chrome features, and customized upholstery.

This exhibition is on at the Petersen Automotive Museum from now until June 8, 2008.
