Disneyland celebrates Christmas like no other place on earth!

"A Christmas Fantasy" Parade takes you and your family on a jolly journey with some of your favorite Disney Characters including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Max. Highlights of this year's event includes a special appearance by Santa Claus, Goofy and Max decorating a life-size gingerbread house, Mickey and Minnie enjoying a romantic skate on an icy pond and see Geppetto and Pinocchio help create toys for Santa!

The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles takes you through the journey of one of mankind's greatest achievements, the Automobile, with over 100 years worth of automotive history at the museum.

In an exclusive exhibition, the 'LA Vida Lowrider: Cruising The City Of Angels' at the Petersen celebrates lowrider cars, people, and culture, and the city that inspires so many, both nationally and internationally.

The word 'lowrider' is used to describe a car that is customized primarily to be low to the ground, usually containing a hydraulic setup for adjusting ride height, with a fantastic candy paint job, chrome features, and customized upholstery.

This exhibition is on at the Petersen Automotive Museum from now until June 8, 2008.

20 Baccarat chandeliers lining the world famous Rodeo Drive will also be lit up in an entertainment extravaganza featuring live music by The Ditty Bops, Concert 9Net and m-pact.

The climax of the evening will be a spectacular pyrotechnics display.

The Oxnard Gem & Mineral Society proudly presents the 38th Annual Galaxy of Gems Expo at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center in November.

This year, the highlight of the event is the Moorpark Mammoth, “Emma”, the half-million year old Mammoth that was excavated near Moorpark in 2005. Other features include 70 display cases showcasing the talents and artistic skills of members and guest exhibitors with some of the displays and activities directed towards teaching students about the earth sciences.

Activities throughout both days of the event will include demonstrations of lapidary techniques, glass-bead making, wire wrapping and rock polishing. A silent auction will offer rock and mineral treasures.

"The Aztec Warrior" Fernando Vargas will go toe-to-toe with former WBA/WBC Welterweight champion and WBC Junior Middleweight champion Ricardo Mayorga at the Staples Center in what will be the final fight of his career.

At the first official press conference for the fight, Mayorga said some offensive things towards Vargas and attempted to slap him. Vargas immediately jumped up from his seat and retaliated with punches and a brawl broke out between the two fighers' camps.
