R&B duo Teena Marie and Keith Sweat are touring together and will perform at the Nokia Theatre in February.
Teena Marie (born Mary Christine Brockert) is an R&B singer/songwriter/producer and is also the protege of late funk legend Rick James. She is notable as one of the few successful caucasian R&B performers to be respectfully and affectionately dubbed anything where both the words "Queen" and "Soul" are in the title - in Teena's case, shes been dubbed 'The Ivory Queen of Soul'.
Keith Sweat started his career as a nightclub singer before he was discovered in 1987. Later that year, he released his debut album Make It Last Forever, which sold four million copies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Want Her" (1 R&B/5 Pop), and the title track from the album was hit 2 on the R&B charts.
